40 Reassuring Bible Verses When Life Feels Overwhelming
Published September 1, 2020
Let’s face it; life can get all too much at times. Day in and day out, we’re constantly bombarded with troubles from a variety of stressors. These troubles can come from our personal life, work-life, and other outside pressures. When our problems overwhelm us, we can easily lose focus on the goals we set out in the first place.
When that time comes, it is crucial to stay in control of your thoughts and emotions. In the bible, God has frequently and repeatedly reminded us of our importance to Him. He advises us to find strength, comfort, and solace in His loving arms.
Because our mind processes so many thoughts in a day, it’s easy to get carried away by the negative ones. These can lead to worries and anxieties that cloud our judgment to a horrifying extent. Couple that with unrealistic expectations from social media, and you’ve got yourself a perfect storm.
“May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.”
This verse highlights how important our thoughts are to the Lord. It is natural to feel overwhelmed and think negatively, but the Lord does not want us to go through that fate.
When I feel overwhelmed, I like to reflect on what the bible has to say. I find comfort in knowing that God is always by our side, shielding us from the struggles of life. At times when I’m feeling especially troubled, I go back to the heart of worship and meditate over some bible verses. These 40 bible verses should reassure you of God’s unwavering faith in our lives.
“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”
