Plus, many of them are based on a true story and tackles issues from a Christian point of view.
To help you choose the best movies for that pre-Super Bowl movie marathon, we’ve compiled this list of the best Christian football movies of all time. We’ve also included the links to where you can watch them.
1. Reggie’s Prayer (1996)
The film stars NFL Hall of Famer Reggie White as a former athlete who chose to teach at his local high school. He crossed paths with a neighborhood thug who had been recruiting kids into street gangs. This resulted in him having to choose between saving a 16-year old kid and a Super Bowl ring. His firm convictions reintroduce us to a Christian lesson we first learned with Jesus’s parable of the lost sheep: every person is worth saving.

5. The Blind Side (2009)
A Christian football movie based on the life story of Michael Oher, an American football offensive tackle who was drafted at the 2009 NFL. The story follows Oher’s impoverished origins, being one of 12 children. His mother was an alcoholic and his father was constantly in prison. As a result, he grew up in foster homes. At a young age, he was homeless, traumatized and drifting in and out of school. That is until a couple decided to take him in and eventually became his legal guardian.
They taught Michael to play football. He got pretty good at it, well enough to play at the college level. When an NCAA investigator suggested to him that the couple only took him in so he can play for their alma mater, Oher started to question everything he’s known about his adoptive family. His story teaches us that family is not defined by blood but by unconditional love.
